Short Film : Minn Hemia- Sigur Rós Music video of the Song "Í Gær"
I made this video for a contest that Sigur Rós announced in early November, 2007 (read here). The deadline to post to Youtube was December 5th, 2007 (Youtube Contest Page). The contest rules were to use the footage that they provided, mixed with one's own footage. I decided to create a narrative out of the footage after listening to Í Gær several times. This short film was shot in HD and the footage that was provided from Sigur Rós was upconverted to HD. Filmed and edited in a week, this has been a really fun project to take on.

Documentary: Emory University Hospital's Heart Center
I made this video for Emory University Hospital's Cardiology Department for a dinner/party at the Georgia Aquarium in March 2006. The party was a a fun get together (about 500 cardiologist and lots of fish). The video was looping during the event on projectors in the room.
The video's purpose was to show the history/present and future of Emory's Cardiology department through images and words. Its a mixture of photography/video and motion graphics. Edited on a Mac. Anyway if you have time to watch - hope you can!

Time, Space and Motion is a new video that I created for "Arts Week" at L'Abri in Huemoz, Switzerland. This 3 minute video pushes your limits on how we perceive TSM and how through the video medium, we can have a "creator" type roll.

This video was created for L'Abri, and the very first online video on their web site. I collaborated with Cellist Jozef Luptak and created a montage of video from and around L'Abri and spliced together with a live performance by Jozef. Its a creative piece that is visually stimulating.

Documentary Video: "Sounds and Sites of Shelter"
This video was made for students at the Swiss L'Abri; Fall Term 2003. It was created for them to be able to remember their time at L'Abri and remember the sounds and sites they became so familiar with. It is a fun and exciting video that will bring a small glimpse of what life is like at the Swiss L'Abri. The Swiss L'Abri has been around for almost 50 years and thousands have come to be students from all parts of the world. Former students will see the same familiar mountains and wonderful scenery. New viewers can get a small taste of the atmosphere and the memories that are formed. This video will show a fun side of L'Abri from the viewpoint of a former student who has received so much from the place.

This video has now become a little famous around L'Abri and the people who have already seen it. It is a photo montage of Nature and the wonderful atmosphere around the mountains of Huemoz, Switzerland. It has some really neat shots that I was very lucky to get. Its amazing to see how much Huemoz changes with and without snow. Hope you enjoy. Music by Moby.

This short documentary video was done to explain what "Hope for Atlanta" is all about. Hope for Atlanta (HOPE) is a non-profit organization dedicated to
extending hope and mercy to the poor and disadvantaged throughout the metro Atlanta area.

Short Narrative: "Believe"
This video was created for my Telecom 5250 class for my Final Thesis in 2002. I attempted to create a short narrative for my thesis project. I originally started thinking about the project in the summer time. I wanted to create something that required thinking and go against the norm from other projects at school. Hopefully this will come across to the viewer. I produced, wrote, directed, shot and edited the piece. It took about 4 weekends to shoot, and about three weeks of editing. I wanted to some how integrate animation and video. I thought that it would be hard, but it turned out to be harder than I thought. I also wanted to give the video a film look, and also a surrealistic look to it and that required a lot of rendering time. The total amount of rendering for my 7:23 minute project was around 25 hours. This was an incredible amount of time and it was limiting in some way because I wouldn't want to go back and try something new because it would take so long. But I think the coloring effects, and special effects adds to the video, and it would be a lot different if it didn't have them.
I have permission to use all of the music and that will be very helpful in putting it out in the film festivals. If I could go back and do things over, I would like to have had more help with the process. I think some of the writing could be cleaned up, and I wish that I had more time to think about continuity instead of having to direct and shoot at the same time.
Overall, I think that I learned a lot from this project. I realized some of my weakness, but that will help me in the future. I enjoy narrative pieces a lot and it has been good to work on it, in light of doing so much corporate education production at work.

Working for the CAES, I developed my video production and story telling skills, and at the same time learned about horticulture, Water Management, and a host of over things. I made several DVD's for them that was distributed around the State of Georgia, and some videos were made for banquets,etc.
